It's a Mystery Trope Word Search Reading Challenge - RC547

Words to Find (words in parenthesis are NOT in the word search, but complete the thought of the trope)

• incompetent (police): police that don't seem to know what they're doing
• Amateur (sleuth): someone who is not a detective/investigator going out to solve the mystery
• wrong (killer): the police got the wrong guy and the protagonist needs to find out the right person that committed the crime
• cozy (mystery): a mystery that is light hearted and low violence, usually set in a quaint, small town but doesn't have to be
• heist: characters come together to steal something big
• nosy (neighbor/reporter): these neighbors and/or reporters just won't get their noses out of the protagonist's business
• stuck (together): characters are stuck together and then a mystery happens that they must solve
• (killer) involved: the criminal is part of the investigation/keeps getting involved or showing up
• (criminal) consultant: the protagonist has to consult an expert for research purposes or to solve the crime
• amnesia: a character has amnesia that impedes the investigation in some way
• twist (ending): a twist you didn't see coming (or maybe you did but the characters definitely were shocked)
• misjudged (death): a death that has been categorized as something other than homicide
• buddy (investigator dynamic): two characters who are investigating that don't seem to fit but also somehow do
• framed (protagonist): the protagonist has to clear their name
• revenge: the crime is due to revenge or solving the crime will get revenge on someone else.
