If you're looking to share your planning with the world, one way to do that is to create a time lapse video! To help you out, I have created a short tutorial about how to create a time lapse video of your planning session.

This tutorial is meant for iPhone users who are using the iOS 8 or higher update.

Process

First, you are going to need to navigate to your camera app.

Next, once you have the camera open, swipe the media type right until you reach the time lapse feature.

After that, just set your phone up to begin recording. All time lapse videos will come out to be 20-40 seconds long, no matter how long you sit and film. 20-40 seconds is a good length if you are posting to Instagram, but if you want to post to another platform I recommend slowing the video down. I use the app PocketVideo to slow down my videos.

That is all! Time lapse videos are great ways to get a video done when your surroundings are not ideal. If you are a stay at home mom and dependent on good sunlight to film, noisy kids can make that hard. These videos have no sound, so there are no interruptions. Another benefit is that you can walk away from your desk and the viewers won't notice! During the video above I had to walk away to deal with a bumped head, but you can't tell when I did that!

Here is the end result of creating a time lapse video:

You can find the kit from this video in the Creating & Co. shop.

What kind of plan with me video do you prefer to watch? Do you like full length videos or short and sweet videos?

Hi Sarah! $1 store selfie sticks work great! I have also seen someone rig two rulers between two stacks of books so the camera is suspended above the planner!

OMG this is exactly what I needed! Thank you so much for sharing this, I can’t wait to try! Well, once I figure out how to set up my phone without some sort of tripod, ha!
