This is another one of those kits that I imagined one way and it turned out completely different, but I think it's really cute so I'm not upset about it!

I basically was like "I want to make a kit that is Fields of Mistria meets Gilmore Girls but make it spring" and I shoved that thought in my brain, shook my head a bunch of times and this came pouring out (not really, but that'd be great lol)

This kit is coming to the shop on Friday Feb 14th AND we'll be doing this challenge the first week of April! I can't wait to read a bunch of low-effort books that just make me happy and give me chill/cozy vibes!

I have not had a chance to sit down and tell you all the info, so I figured I'd do that here, so let's get started!

For the week of, you can deck out your planner with the weekly kit or just celebrate the theme for a day or two or fill in a page in your journal. We'll be releasing our vertical version (shown here), but also a deco version and some other stickers that fit the color palette and theme so you can use it across all your planners and notebooks!

First off, in case you didn't know, when we say readathon, we mean an event that is a week long where we read books fitting the theme -- the idea is to find books that fit the various prompts! During the week of the event, we have reading sprints in the book club group, chat about books and track our goal progress! Oh, and of course we show off our planners and enter some giveaways!

I am also working on some ideas for the readathons of this year so we'll see what I come up with! Stay tuned!

Our readathons have five prompts. For each book you read that fits a prompt, simply fill in the title and rating and then using one of the floral books to cover a grayed out book on the page. You can read one book per prompt or find books that fit multiple prompts

Here are the prompts:

  • Tight Knit Community - the town or village is an important part of the story/there's a big cast of characters
  • Cafe/Local Hangout - a cafe/bookstore/other local hangout is a major setting of the story
  • Heartwarming Romance - a romance that makes you feel happy and/or takes place in a small town/village
  • Generations of Family - family traditions or a large family is an important part of the story (for better or worse)
  • Group Read/Free Space - This will be voted on in the Creating & Co Book club group on Facebook and we'll chat about it during the event in April

If you have another way to interpreting the prompts, you can change it up! I won't police your book picks so feel free to make them work for you! You can also ask for recommendations or suggestions in the facebook group and we'll have posts that allow for book recs too.

Don't forget, each of our readathons/challenges come with a badge sticker! These can be added to the badge tracking sheet so you can keep track of all the challenges you've finished this year.

The rest of the sheet is filled with some prompt stickers, reading stickers and reading achievements you can use all over your planner.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

  • Do you have to buy stickers to participate in the readathon? No, our events are all free to participate in but having the stickers make them a lot more fun!
  • Do you have to read 5 books in one week? Absolutely not! You can read 1 book that covers all 5 prompts if you want or you can read 1 book for each prompt or any other number of books and have them cover as many prompts as you like.
  • Do you have to read a certain genre? Not at all! I like to try to pick books that fit the theme but sometimes I'm just not in the mood for that genre or vibe so I'll pick another type of book that I am in the mood for and let the kit theme be just for fun.

We're releasing another kit this week that I think you guys will LOVE, Belle of the Books! This one will come as a weekly kit and a reading challenge as well!

Finally, we'll also have a few functional sheets as well that are great for readers!
